PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)

In reading Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich”, I also came across another one of his works: “Success through a positive mental attitude”.

According to Wikipedia: Positive mental attitude“, or PMA, is a psychological term which describes a mental phenomenon in which the central idea is that one can increase achievement through optimistic thought processes. PMA implies that one has a vision of good natured change in one’s mind; it employs a state of mind that continues to seek, find and execute ways to win, or find a desirable outcome, regardless of the circumstances. It rejects negativity, defeatism and hopelessness. Part of the process of achieving PMA employs motivating “self talk” and deliberate goal-directed thinking.”

Lately, I have been paying attention to my inner dialogue in my head and it is interesting to note how negative it can be: “Damn, it is early in the morning… man, why do I have to do this… great, another line at Google that I have to wait for”. Instead, I should be thinking, “it is good to be early and arrive in the office to get everything done… this is good practice for me… I am lucky – I get free food for lunch and dinner!”

Hill talked about consciously developing the character traits that people embodied. I thought about Style’s LAS VEGAS character traits, but I did not want my list to be just about pickup. I wanted it to reflect life in general, wealth, health and love. Because if order to eventually land a 10, you will need to have the overall lifestyle to back it up. Here is my character sheet, uploaded into Google Docs – you can’t edit it, but it is here for viewing pleasure. I will keep track with a “Y” when that character trait was evident in that day and “N“when it isn’t.

Think about your internal dialog to yourself, and see if you can consciously see what you are feeding your mind. Your thoughts will turn in to actions, and actions determine your destiny. So, think wisely. Think positively.

A “foundation” is something that cannot be taken away from you very easily or quickly (within a few days). In history, great empires have fallen, seemingly “over night”. But usually, things with foundations see waves of change long before the event happens. The Berlin wall, the fall of the Roman Empire, Troy, all these momentous events saw waves of change and ripples in the water before the final fall actually happened.

A personal foundation are things in your life that:

  1. Cannot be taken away by mere chance or little to medium effort by something else, such as an adversary.
  2. Is there for you, even if you leave and come back, having a sickness, “fall out” or otherwise absence for a period of time.
  3. Has potential to exist and continue to grow as its own entity without you

What are my pillars of foundations? A good foundation provides stability, but a poorly designed foundation could trap or constrain you. Therefore, build your foundations carefully.

An easy and recent example of a foundation can be found watching The Girls Next Door – every month, 3-4 girls visit the playboy mansion (19-26 years old) and test shoot for the playboy cover. Hugh Hefner goes out for a night at dinner with them, accompanied by his 3 girlfriends. Although Hef is noticeably old, he has built his empire, and Playboy Enterprises continues to grow and evolve around him.

Day 14 – Game Over!

After 3 weeks of continuous weekend sarging, I was basically throbbing with sexual energy. Despite my recent flu, I was too horny. Watching porn, I thought I could just satisfy the visual stimuli and my cravings. Wrong answer 😐

So at Day 14 my trial ends. Pretty good run. Lessons I have learned:

1. Orgasms are better when you wait for them in anticipation.

2. Ejaculation is separate from orgasm – M. Chia and Douglas Abram were right. I was not able to recreate multiple orgasms without ejaculation, but I understand now that this is a possibility, having been aroused mentally in this period without actually ejaculating.

3. You generally have more energy when you don’t masturbate. When you ejaculate, it is inevitable that you lose some of your vital energy.

4. I am going to continue to trial, without masturbation. The only ejaculation allowed, as set by previous rules, was to sleep with a HB8+. If I make it past day 10, I’ll post a “trial 2”.

Cheers, thanks for reading!
