This was such an entertaining read…

I know at least 6 guys who fit that description. I wouldn’t call their game “lame”, but they do think they’re the shit because they get laid so often. Thing is, sex tends to be all they’re willing to offer to a girl…which makes them very boring.

100% agree with Alpha here. I live in the Marina and if you were to come by during the week for happy hour, you would see the general population of douches who can afford the high marina rent and going out to marina happy hours ($4 beers instead of $5) every day while over dressing for bars like Horseshoe.

@marina guy: Most who inhabit the marina are affraid to go anywhere besides the marina so its usually the same crowd at happy hour that you see on the weekends…and if you’re not just another marina douche, then next time you go out, try not buying one girl a drink and see if you get lucky. That will test your PUA medal.

Well this was a biased review. First let me retort by saying every neighborhood has it’s bad apples, except for maybe Russian Hill. Our bad aplpes tend to be louder and more obnoxious thus making giving us the worse wrap. Anyways, we get a lot of bridge and tunnel traffic during the weekend making our neighborhood into a free-for-all. Judge us by going to happy hour during the week at one of the bars NOT owned by the aliotos or Newsome. Come to Horseshoe, Black Horse, and pretty much all of union st.

I suppose that’s a little bit of a negative (positive too?) stereotype. Just calling it like I see it. For the record though I’ve met pretty cool frat/jock guys too. Usually not in the marina though

I grew up in SF, and I found your comments very succinct. I am now 46 and divorcing and live in Marin but still love to go to the Marina to see the babes, the artist type in the Mission is not my scene anymore however…I’m working on my game again.
