Re: RSD Hot Seat Event in SF

This is my first “bootcamp” experience of any kind, other than hanging out with Troy Dizon as a friend. I am not affiliated with RSD in any way, although I have been a fan of Tyler Durden’s work since the publication of the Blueprint.

Overall, the hotseat experience was amazing. The cost = $300 USD, well worth the money spent. The most insightful breakdowns happened when the videos were paused, and Tyler explained the subtleties of the pickup.

Section I: Notes I Wrote Down
1. The look. Tyler: “at a certain point we develop a social intuition for that ‘look’ girls give. Their eyes light up and you know she’s ‘popped’. She’s attracted to you. Take a look at where this happens in this video. Where is it guys? when? when?”. I’ve experienced this before and it was nice to see him break it down on footage.
2. This happens all the time, Tyler: “you have to behave as it this is a normal occurrence for you. Like it happens all the time and it is not a big deal”
3. Life is exciting. Tyler: “but notice how happy my face is when I’m spinning her around”. Life is supposed to be exciting. Picking up girls is fun and exciting. And it should be that way. No matter how many times I do it, whenever I get to this point I always feel it.
4. Logical vs. Emotional Selfs – Tyler showed us a video of a classical “good girl” and how she was asking all these logical questions. He kept on engaging her emotional side and eventually walked her home. Most of us related to girls as a FRIEND to FRIEND relationship. But, chemistry comes from relating as a MAN to a WOMAN relationship.

Way of Attraction

Certain personalities have greater effect on a character’s style and the way they move about life. We call this the way of attraction. Including his style, the characters use it in conjunction to their core personalities. I noticed the Way of Attraction when I was trying to decipher what made men stylish.

As I wrote down notes on the way clothes fit on the body, I realized at a salsa conference that there was something else that MADE people more attractive. This both extends beyond style as well as coordinates with it.

Being difficult to describe in words or on a blog post, I call it the “way of attraction.” It is the combination of a person’s appearance and the way they move through life that gives them this vibe and energy. Some examples that come to mind:

The way Ari Gold wipes his fingers across his mouth before he says something important, the way he adjusts his suit jacket, the way he moves his hands while he talks all signify dominance, and the power suit further enhances this message. The cell phone, his watch and his tie are his props. Even when the character Ari Gold is being dominated by others, he still holds a strong frame whether he is wrong or not.

Let’s take different example. The character Dr. House is a medical genius. He’s dominant, but in a weird, unconventional way. His cane and his medicine are his props. He likes to challenge the system and is bit quirky despite his intelligence. Read more

By class I mean social class They have a healthy, sometimes inflated sense of entitlement, generally naive and nice because people always treated them well as beautiful little girls and daddy’s little girls High maintenance, wine and dine dating style. Rumor has it that some Marina girls are taken care of by older, rich San Francisco old money who pays for their expensive apartments and quality of life Most Marina girls don’t work, or work in easy jobs like a receptionist, a retail store girl or other “eye candy” occupations that leverage her looks Marina girls love dogs and puppies, yoga, fruit smoothies, walking, jogging, pilates, high end nail saloons and shopping at high end fashion brand stores Considers extravagant waste and leisure an art form
How to Game	Get past the class discrimination with upscale, classy fashion sense. Proximity and logistics to close by Marina apartments helps. Game should be pretty tight although Marina girls are generally pretty nice rejecting guys because of their experience with it over the years. Her disqualifying criteria will mostly be based on class and lifestyle (i.e. she’s not going to talk to a bum) so if you can get past this then it is standard pickup game. For the hottest 9s and 10s, you will have to find a way to deal with AMOG Marina Frat/Jock guys and their social circle guy friends. Most of these guys are good looking but have limited game. However their physical presence can be intimidating and they are most often found in large groups. Barks louder than they bite.
