Las Vegas May 2008 LR and FR

I arrived in Las Vegas on a sunny Saturday to attend a Mon-Wed conference for work. I felt a little excited, but also a little scared. It has been a while since I traveled. I posted a message on the MM Forums hoping to meetup with any of the PUAs out there in the area.

It turns out, most of my friends who are also in Vegas have things to do, and I was stuck by myself on Saturday. Ok. I decided that I was going to go out and solo it anyway. I walked around in the afternoon, talked to some people and walked from Harrah’s to the Bellagio fountains. I noticed that sets opened easily in Vegas, as everyone was on vacation. However, they almost don’t stick, since every pretty much talks to everybody and assumes and tourist-visiting “what’s going on in Vegas” conversation.

Ironically, my friends flaked, and I get a call from a PUA in Vegas. I meet J AKA VegasBabeHunter at Harrah’s. My first impression of him was pretty solid, a good looking guy and easy to talk to. J was a lot older than I am, having been a natural who then married and went through a divorce. His energy, however was youthful and fun, and I felt at ease.

J and I hit up a cool lounge to meetup with 2 other PUAs. I didn’t know any of them, so I opened a few sets first. When we sat down to introduce ourselves, I met Nevious. Nevious seemed like a guy who studied a lot of material and liked to break down stuff. These guys, in my experience are either really good or too into the material. My first impression of him was that he was really in analyzing the situations. There was another PUA who was new to the game, and we tried pushing him into a few sets. He seemed like a nice guy. Inside the lounge, we open all the sets available. I engage a bachelorette party, and I am in. One of the married girl’s girlfriends is from LA and I n-close her. I also n-close a cute black girl outside of the bar, and HB8Star girl (24, a kid she looked like she was 16 with curly brown hair). I was doing pretty well. It must be Vegas.

We decide to go to a few more bars, where Nevious takes us. A lot of girls here are less “high class vegas” and more local, as well as more ‘rocker and goth”. I did not do as well here. We then hit up a Matrix-like (San Francisco) bar, and this is where I got to witness Nevious’ game. We decide to interrupt a set with a guy and 2 girls smoking outside. The HB Brunette is smoking hot. I go out and open about some random Vegas tourist question, and transition to San Francisco and the gay culture. I slightly negged the guy by saying I thought he was gay, to tease out his relationship with the girls. He gets offended, I calibrate and say, “well no offense you are a good looking guy”. At this point the 2nd girl HB7 black girl starts giving me IOIs. I isolate, and we end up making out against the wall as HB8 brunette continues to talk to Nevious. She was gorgeous. We didn’t close the brunette, but I was beginning to see Nevious’ awesome winging skills.

We end up at hard rock cafe. This place was interesting. We engage a few sets. There was a 5 set that I engaged with another girl getting married. I open with, “Hey, congratulations!”. The bachelorette shouts back, “Yeah!” Me, “Where’s the ring?” Run Badboy ring routine. False time constraint, I sit down, lean back, and tell the story and hold court. Everyone gets really involved, and I am in. These girls are pretty cute. I continue talking to them for about 15 minutes, Nevious comes in. We realized that these girls are all married or have boyfriends, so no close here. We exit. It was a beautiful open and good flash game. As time approaches 3 am, I open an Asian girl, she ends up giving me her bracelet, but then goes cold. I think she’s working. Another cute HB9 girl standing by herself looking at me. I open,

“Hi, how are you?”
HB: “good, how are you!?”
Me: “Pretty good. What are you doing later?”
HB: “going back with you!”
Me: “ok, slow down there I am not that easy”
HB: “here’s my card”
I actually did not look at the card.
We talk for 5 minutes. Nevious comes in, “Sorry, I REALLY have to talk to you R”
Me: “really, give me 5 minutes, will you?”
Nevious: “It is REALLY, REALLY important”
I get pissed now I think he’s trying to fuck me out of an awesome set!
Me: “Dude this better be good”
Nevious: “She’s working”
Me: “What?”
Nevious: “She’s a hooker, there are a lot of them here in Vegas”
Me: “No way”
Nevious: “Look at her card”
I pull out a card with her half naked picture and phone number. OK. Case closed. lol. The rest of the night, all the girls at the Hardrock were working. We tried gaming them, but game doens’t work on prostitutes. We vowed to find a way to game prostitutes in the future.

Sunday
I went out with my team, had dinner and did some tourist things like visit Cesar’s palace and the Bellagio. I go to sleep early to prepare for the conference.

Monday
Game on. Nevious, J and his female PUA wing comes out. We start out at Tao Lounge, and meet up with 5 HB8+ girls who I met from the Bay. PUAs hold their own. However, I made some mistakes. I had mad social proof, having gamed the waitress before on the phone, she recognized me and was giving me a lot of attention. HB9 Brunette who I knew sits next to me, says I smell good, and I kino and continue conversation. Nevious tells me to isolate. I do, and I try to go for the kiss. Too soon. She says, “not now”. Soon after, one of the other girls pulls the other girls and says she wants to dance. As I was getting a drink from the bar, I come back and realize they all left. Interesting. I was slightly offended because these were my friends. Embarrasing.

This hit me pretty hard at that particular moment, for 2 reasons. One, I just lost my opportunity to close a really cool HB9 girl friend. Two, it was rude of friends to leave without even saying good bye – were we that insignificant? Three, it was a bad rep for me to the other PUAs – I should have more value in the friends I introduce.

Nevious, J and her female PUA friend (we’ll call her K) was supper supportive, and give me advice on the situation. Basically, I texted “you know friends are supposed to say good bye when leaving…tsk tsk”. I get an apology from HB9 brunette, but not any of the other girls. I put it aside, and we hit other bars. Venetian was happening. Tao lounge was good, we opened a few sets, mostly industry people getting off work so it was somewhat professional. We hit Cat House. Oh man. Industry night. Almost all of the girls here are hot. Wow. I was on fire. I open a HB9/10 and she is ALL over me. I couldn’t close her because her “girlfriend” showed up and claimed her as her sex partner. She did say she was lesbian. I pivot K into a 3 set and n-close one of the girls. I run into another girl from the conference, she gives me her card and says call her later as she’s with her coworkers. (I end up running into her a the conference and she was disappointed I didn’t call). A few other sets- and a lot of kino – this was a high energy dance club game. It was a little sad to see how they swindled the AFC guys for top “sugar daddy” money. There were a few guys with a lot of style with a group of girlfriends. Industry guys (entertainment industry) – I befriend a few to get some social proof. The girls were hot. There was no denying this. I have never seen that many HB8+ in one place before.

We end up leaving eventually, and hit one of the bars nearby at the hotel. It was funny. I show K Matador’s hand routine. Nevious tries to amog a 2 set blonde. The energy was awesome, we were just vibing off everyone’s knowledge and having a good time.

J ends up dropping me off, and Nevious and I continue! We goto Carnival Court – he opens one of those working girls. I wing. We open a 2 set on the street – they stick! We talk for 15 minutes, girls are open to taking us back to their hotel for drinks. But, they weren’t that hot and one of them was pretty fat, so someone had to take the grenade hit. We decide to n-close and move on. The Jet – I can’t get in without cover, Nevious goes in, says club is ok but we can sarge outside. We hit up some girls , some went well. One set was awesome. A cutie 24 blonde girl, she was SO nice. Totally adorable, talks to me for 5 minutes, admit she has a finance, and says, “you are really cool, you can totally pick up girls with that ring routine!”. Nevious tries to close, settles for giving her an email. Obviously a flake, but I was impressed that there are cute girls in Vegas that are cool. We open a one set. Asian hooker. Totally honest girl. Nevious tries to game. I talk to her about the subject of last night – how to game hookers. Her response was, “you can’t”. Why? “Because”, she explains, “there is no game there. It is business. It’s an exchange of money.”
Me: “But you can game strippers”
Hooker: “That’s because strippers are stupid”
Me: “How so?”
Hooker “They don’t realize that if they changed the way they talked, and some of the way they seduce guys they could be making a lot more money. They are conflicted and confused, prostitutes are what they are and we know what we are doing”
Hardcore.

I end up talking to Nevious for an hour afterwards to debrief. This guys is as analytical as me ,and I am staring to seriously respect his knowledge of the game. I learn that he’s been in the game for several years, as well as a few other things about him I will keep between us. We call it a night.

I felt weird, because I could not close in Vegas. However, the experience of meeting other PUAs and that are cool and J and Nevious was in and of itself a very satisfying feeling.

Tuesday
Date with HB Black girl we met on Saturday. I see her again. Great style, she’s a buyer in the fashion industry. I like her energy. Honestly, she was a 8/10 for a black girl. I don’t usually attract to black girls, so I give her a HB7/10. She’s great. She games me! We venue change to V-bar (I get social proof again from bartender and doorman) She shows me Parasol up (Awesome comfort game location) and Wynn, and 40/40 club – awesome hip hop music and great seating. I am starting to like this girl.

Pulling up to hotel room was easy, she gave some LMR and objections. I just said, “ok, if you have to go I understand. This is my last night here”. Full close was sweet. I can now confidently sayd I have been with a white, black and Asian girl.

Afterwards, she falls asleep in my bed. I turn around and contemplate and say my thanks. Just yesterday, I was going through some of the most serious conflict about my game. Today, I felt good. A lot of assistance and support came from VegasBabeHunter and and Nevious. These guys would say, “Alpha, you are a great PUA”. These guys I just met for 2 days believed more in me than I did in myself. I am not sure if I got lucky, or the power of the community is that strong. I believe that, given the cool character traits of these 2 guys I met, and the power of the internet, and the overall power that comes from being part of this community to understand human nature, I got some must needed help and reassurance to my game in Vegas. Moments like this makes me want to become a Master and help other people.

Learnings from Las Vegas Trip:
1. Overall, the quality and number of HBs are very high. Unnaturally high. 8 out of 10 girls were above a 7, and there were many HB9s and HB10s. This creates an unrealistic view of beauty, and some of the girls are nice. You learn to be comfortable around very hot women. Because of this, some of the UGs completely give up and you can see the major difference between the Vegas HBs, rich guys, cool guys, and a line drawn from them and the older retired vacationers, the kids, the UGs and the less cool dudes.

2. Know your locations. Hookers are abound, and your sarge location is just as important as your approach. There are the Vegas locals, the tourist destinations, the hooker destinations and the old retiree destinations. Pick the clubs that count. V-bar, Tao, Parasol Up, 40/40, Cat House are cool places, and have great events. Cat house on industry night – I swear every single girl in there was hot. I have never seen that many HB8s’s in one room.

3. Sometimes, you may feel great conflict in your game. I find these moments the toughest, and sometimes I being to doubt myself. You learn to reassess everything you have ever learned. These are the “tests”, I believe, that God throws at us to test our resolve. In my experience, the nights where I feel the most conflict were followed by the nights or changes in my life where I learned and progressed the most. Don’t give up.

4. Respect. Among PUAs who are not newbies anymore – I am starting to see appreciate for people who have devoted a significant portion of their life to game. The PUAs I met in Vegas were not only great PUAs, they were top notch people, along with their quirks, weaknesses, strengths and perseverance.
