I was reading an article in an old game developer magazine last week, and I saw an interview with the creators of Advent Rising (storyline by Orson Scott Card of Ender’s Game). In the interview he described how the developers had to add weight to the “relatively regular body frame” character, in order to give him a more “superhero” appearance.

This got me to start thinking, that a charismatic person tends to have “mass”, or that physical presence about him. Even game designers notice this in video games. In real life, there is also an element of the energy that is projected from the flesh. In video games, this energy can be more dramatic, and illustrated through aura colors, halos, and other superpowers.

For a man, it is important to develop that physical “weight” and presence as it gives the person a “superhero” feel to his physical projection in this world.
