I look around the room and I see potential. Guys who are in the process of becoming really successful men in this world. They have choices to make, and those choices will carve out their path in life and their legacies while they are here in this world. All of us have flaws, and things that can be easily improved upon. Habit and routine has made us weak and absent minded.

In establishing the alliance 5 months ago, I would not have guessed that we would still be meeting weekly. In some ways our meetings are an escape for me. It is a way for me to see a glimpse of what I really want to do in life and how I can get there. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life sitting in front of a computer, taking orders from middle management.

Round the table we go.
Me. I am lazy. I don’t workout regularly. I have not practiced speaking clearly. (Good call on that by one of our members). I have it good compared to most people in this economy, and I am not fully taking advantage of it.

Kev. Smart kid. Very like-able. Innocent. Wants to work on his speaking and accent. Good with befriending girls. Needs to get his grades up and makes sure school is a positive influence in his life, not a nuisance.

Joe. Good writer (from his blog). Needs to develop more stable core confidence, that is not situational. Needs to have a life outside of pickup. Needs to figure out a way to balance out school work, while enjoying life’s journey.

Mik. Solid guy. Trustworthy. Wants to help people. Needs to focus on a solid plan that gives him freedom in his desire to help people, as well as financial responsibility and stability.

Casual. My partner in crime on AlphaCasual Productions. Seems to have his things together. I think he can do more gaming outside of comfort zone. Obviously very smart in his mind, not always expressed to its full extent in verbal and physical form.

TK. Very funny, alpha guy. Seems to have a plan that involves not going back to corporate America. Doesn’t seem to have self doubt, or that many problems. Only comment I have is to have a strong strategy for developing a financial foundation going forward, and goals outside of pickup.

For the guys that weren’t there this Thurs, but are regular members:

Gar: Strong voice. Very down to earth. Slightly nerdy, but also charming in his own way. Seems to want to help other people, genuinely. Seems to be on track with studies at Stanford and in life.

Ma: Solid dude. Trustworthy. Seems to have a lot of things to say, in his mind, but sometimes struggles to get them across. When vibing, does great in field. Does not always carry high energy to generate vibe. The wood is wetter for sparking a fire. Seems to have studies on point at Stanford, and seems to have a passion when he talks about engineering.

Serum: Good friend of mine. Solid. More career aspirations to meet social circle goals is key to a better life down the road for him.

Stone: Trustworthy. Loyal. Willing to standup and pick a fight when needed. Gets angry easily. Very articulate and is able to communicate his thoughts and intentions in the moment better than most of my friends.

Alliance philosophy
The purpose of our existence is to increase our survival and replication value. Everything we do in life refers back to this fundamental purpose. To deny this is to deny the very reason for our existence. People may argue about life, morals and being happy, however this is the fundamental reason on a biological level of why we are here, and we are governed by these laws of nature.

I got into game about 2 years ago. I discovered a new way to look at the world, and this has been exciting. Over the next 2 years, I drifted back and forth between the real world and the matrix. Between what life should be according to me and what life should be according to pop culture and society’s leaders who present these frames to us.

Fight Club, The Matrix, Entourage, these entertainment art forms remind us of a different way of looking at the world. RSD defines game as “the external representation of the internal frame”. If this is true, then our thoughts ultimately govern our behavior and destiny.

My thoughts – they sometimes waiver; my will and motivation are also tested over time. People go through moments of glory, and moments of being down. I have benefited from having a strong social circle of a few very good friends, who offer me their perspective during hard times. However, they are very specific in their realm of expertise and this is not consistent. As a group, we can represent an idea, a set of values shared by the members. This group is larger than any one member; it represents our ideals and our goals, and can act as a shining light in our journey out of the darkness.

The Purpose of a Master Mind Alliance

According to Napoleon Hill, “a Master Mind Alliance is the coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

We wrote down our goals in life (5 minutes), on a piece of paper of where we wanted to be in 3 years. We then wrote down where we are now from a 3rd person perspective. 1 by 1, we went around the room and each one of us gave insight into what we facing, the “walls” and “barriers” and how to over come them. In some cases, we pointed out over dreaming or “wishing” instead of planning out specific events.

It was interesting getting people’s thoughts on what they thought our barriers were as opposed to our own thoughts of what our walls are. In some cases, the answers were very different.

Our Mastermind Alliance had the following rules:

Rule 1. All members must make a commitment to improve their lives. Without this commitment, noting is possible.

Rule 2. Subjects will focus on the 3 areas of development in Wealth, Health and Love

Rule 3. No negative or nonconstructive criticisms will be allowed. Either offer a solution or do not speak at all. Negativity towards other members will not be tolerated.

Rule 4. Respect and a general level of confidentiality is required for all group members

Rule 5. The group will remain small, with less than 12 people to stay focused and to build trust among its members

Rule 6. Please do not talk about other member’s lives outside of this group. Details discussed outside of the confine of this alliance can only be disclosed with the expressed permission of the originator.

Rule 7. This is an experiment. In the event that this does work, we will support other groups like ours to the extent possible. If this fails, we have lost nothing but a moment of our time.

8 and final rule. If a member permanently leaves the group, he must have a statement of what he has gained while being a member, and outline his new path and how s/he will continue to develop himself/herself. If this is your first night at the alliance meeting, you have to share your life goals with the team
