November Total Profit= $517.57

ACP Business 50% Ownership= $450.00

  • Direct ad revenue, CPC and affiliate sales from PUA Lingo
Honeyplex Business= $567.57
  • $154.91 ebook sales
  • $272.75 ebook sales
Expenses= $500
  • Linkbuilding
  • Outsourcing video production of sales page
inDinero Account
Lessons:
  1. There this new service called “inDinero”. Pretty cool – auto links to Paypal and your bank accounts, and automatically does accounting for you based on your revenue and expenses. However it isn’t as smart as your accountant – it counts returns in Paypal twice, and on e-lance, there are many projects that need to be re-edited and each time I do it, it counts the total $$$ amount again as costs. In reality, my profit this month in Nov was about $1200 and expenses just over $500.
  2. My expenses have gone up significantly because of my recent investments in linkbuilding and product creation for SWS 2.0. These are one-time costs as we prepare for launch. Normally your online business expenses are minimal, 10% if that.
  3. I still think we are WAY under-utilizing PUA Lingo, given its immense traffic count. However, this is a business that is shared with my business partners and I simply don’t have time to focus on it while I grow SWS and the Honeyplex business.

October Total Profit= $617.57

ACP Business 50% Ownership= $550

  • Direct ad revenue, CPC and affiliate sales from PUA Lingo
Honeyplex Business= $567.57
  • $257.51 ebook sales
  • $316.06 ebook sales
Expenses= $500
  • Outsource linbuilding
  • $200 seed money for friend, 10% ownership of secretsofdancegame.com
Lessons:
  1. Sometimes you just need cash to invest in things – this incurs expenses
  2. Things are looking good but I just need to spend money to build the foundation for SWS 2 before money comes in in large flows.

Lessons:
  1. Checkout www.indinero.com for auto tracking of your revenues and expenses

August ~$1600 / 2 = $800.45 + 747.55 = $1548 – 345.46 = $1202.54

ACP Business (I have 1 partner who owns 50% equity) – $1600 / 2

  • 8/31/11 – $250.00 – direct ad revenue
  • 8/31/11 – $72.25 – clickbank
  • 8/19/11 – $128.30 – affiliate sales
  • 8/17/11 – $62.57 – clickbank
  • 8/17/11 – $16 – affiliate sales
  • 8/4/11 – $492.25 – affiliate sales
  • 8/3/11 – $186.04 – clickbank
  • 8/3/11 – $34.00 – affiliate sales
  • 8/2/11 – $359.50 – affiliate sales
Honeyplex Business – $747.55 (I own 100% equity)
  • 8/31/11 – $155.21 – Ebook sales
  • 8/18/11 – $309.21 – Ebook sales
  • 8/3/11 – $283.13 – Ebook sales
Expenses: $345.46 – All my expenses related to the business
  • 8/28/11 – $59.13 elance work
  • 8/23/11 – $28.50 elance work
  • 8/16/11 – $20 – server hosting (faster server)
  • 8/14/11 – $44.94 – elance work
  • 8/2/11 – $46.03 – elance work
  • 8/2/11 – $193.80 aweber – 1 year prepaid
Lessons:
  1. Good business partners are hard to find as they are. Furthermore, you need to find someone who can put into the business the same effort as you do. If this criteria is not met, it can be the source of much frustration and arguments. Furthermore, you need to find someone who has a different skill set than you. Unless the partnership can add more value than the two combined, (more than 50% each), eventually one of the partners will start feeling like he or she can make more on their own. Therefore, find good partners and do it on a trial basis to begin with.
  2. Setup a bank account early and learn to funnel your money effectively into that channel. A good control on cashflow ensures business flexibility and fluidity.
  3. There were a lot more expenses now that I do not have a tech partner, which means I need to outsouce my work. I also signed up for a separate aweber account and that costs a lot because it was prepaid for 12 months.
  4. Overall though, the expenses are far less than the total 50% cost of the equity ownership in the previous agreement.

July 2011 Income Report

July ($1070.86)
  • 7/24/11 – $10.00 – new affiliate test
  • 7/20/11 – $20.87 – clickbank
  • 7/20/11 – $129.74 –  SWS
  • 7/20/11 – $109.80 – Affiliate
  • 7/9/11 – $147.00 – Affiliate
  • 7/6/11 – $211.94 – SWS
  • 7/6/11 – $77.76 – clickbank
  • 7/6/11 – $363.75 – Affiliate
Lessons this month:
  • We only made about 1k this month, but a lot of the money came in during August 1-5 and we netted another 1k within 5 days. Sometimes your cash flow comes in later and you have to be ready to expect cash variances from month to month. As always, plan it out and make sure you have enough money to pay your expenses. Always have savings just in case.
  • The new affiliate product we tested wasn’t great, but we are getting record signups and building up a significant list.
  • This month I bought the Seduce With Style business, and going forward my main focus will be on growing that business, the sale of the ebook, and its subsequent upsell programs.
